The Wake Foundation's Mission Statement

About us, our objectives, and more.

Welcome

The Wake Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization established in May of 2010 by veterans for veterans. The Foundation's main objective is to help our veterans from all military branches live a fulfilled life after serving their country. Each year the Wake Foundation sponsors a variety of outdoor events throughout the country geared towards assisting military personnel and wounded veterans realize that there is life after combat. Our mission is to help our veterans get back some sort of normalcy in their lives. We strive to show all veterans and all those who have and are willing to help volunteer that they can continue to serve such a honorable cause even after active duty.

The Wake Foundation supports our men and woman of the armed forces by raising awareness and funds to help strengthen the lives of our veterans and our veteran's families. Ultimately, the Wake Foundation believes the more we stay together, are active together and provide support, the better lives we all can lead. The Wake Foundation endeavors to do this by introducing our veterans to organized social and outdoor events. The majority of our annual events are designed specifically for veterans to spend time together with other veterans participating in outside activities such as fishing, hunting, golfing, skiing, biking, running, surfing and kayaking.  Click here to see our schedule of upcoming events!

The Wake Foundation helps our veterans cope with life after active service in many different ways. One way the foundation assists our veterans is to provide logistical support to all those who need some help in overcoming the stress of combat whether it be due fatigue, depression or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

This will remain the land of the free so long as it is the home of the brave.” – Elmer Davis
